About Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva

Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva is an associate executive director with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Concurrent with his AAP leadership responsibilities, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva serves as a professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Previously, he taught pediatrics and bioethics at the Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva embarked on a career in health-care management in the late 1990s, accepting a series of executive posts with the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. From 2002 to 2012, Dr. Sachdeva simultaneously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Milwaukee’s National Outcomes Center.

His clinical work includes practicing within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. In addition to his training in medicine, he is a cum laude juris doctor graduate of Marquette University Law School. From 2004 to 2007, he instructed Marquette law students as an adjunct associate professor of law and a Boden research fellow. He continued as an adjunct professor of law until 2009.
